Eccentricity… in our friends and customers, we’re all for it, but when it comes to turntables and vinyl this is rarely a good thing, referring to an unstable ‘wobble’ that can occur during record playback which can be detrimental to your sound experience. DS Audio have the solution with the ES-001 Eccentricity Detection Stabilizer – a world first and a unique and interesting product which is set to dramatically improve the performance of high-end turntables.
We’re delighted to offer customers the opportunity to come and see, and experience, this exciting piece of kit for themselves – and so we’re running one of our ever-popular Demo Events this month. Join us on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th July to try the ES-001 for yourself; you’ll be amazed by how quick and easy it is to use and the audible difference to record playback.
Get in touch on 01622 676703 to book your FREE hour-long timeslot, between 10am and 5pm, to give it a try and chat about all things audio with a team who are as passionate about music as you are!

About the ES-001 Eccentricity Detection Stabilizer
Every vinyl record is unique and delivers its own distinctive immersive experience for the listener – which is part of the appeal of the medium. However, with this comes the risk that ‘one does not fit all’ when you place a vinyl record on any turntable. The placement not exactly matching up with the stylus, as may naturally be the case on most occasions, can cause unwanted left-to-right movement, just a small amount of which can result in ‘wow’ and ‘flutter’ which muddies the sound during playback – even on the highest-quality equipment.
The DS Audio ES-001 is here to change that, with infrared LED and PSD (position detection elements) sensors which read the record’s run-out groove to check the alignment of the record, measuring, in microns, how off-centre your run-out groove is in relation to your turntable’s centre spindle. The device’s display, as well as recording the discrepancy, allows you to adjust your record’s placement to begin to correct the issue, helping to ensure that your stylus stays solid – and that your turntable performs at its very best.
An issue as old as vinyl records themselves, greatly improved by this fantastic new product from a brand we love – definite cause for celebration.
Get yourself booked with us in this July for a free demo session with our friendly, enthusiastic team – and prepare yourself for experiencing a true audio transformation.
