A spring steel headband and PVD-coated cast zinc alloy hardware connect the parts into a sturdy yet flexible frame.

To create a voicing suited to audiophiles and music lovers, Meze tested numerous 50 mm driver iterations, materials, and tuning approaches. The result satisfies a broad range of genres. A carbon fibre-reinforced cellulose composite forms the dome, delivering high frequencies with clarity and definition. This lightweight material is more durable than standard dynamic driver options and helps limit resonances that might cause harmonic distortion.

The torus around the dome uses titanium-coated semicrystalline polymer to improve stiffness, speed, and tonal balance. Applied via Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), the titanium layer strengthens the membrane while keeping it light, supporting fast transients and textured bass. Grooves at a 45.5° angle control resonances and allow accurate, fluid reproduction.The copper-zinc alloy stabiliser around the membrane enhances vibration absorption to reduce distortion further.

A custom 3.5 mm to USB-C adapter with an integrated DAC/AMP extends use with mobile devices while keeping high-resolution playback on the move.
