As we look back on the last 30 years in place at Home Media HQ this year, we’re reflecting on some of our most memorable moments in business. From amazing installations for our customers, to demo events, tours, outings, socials and more, there’s a lot to reminisce about… and the journey’s far from over!

The People that Make the Journey
Human connection is so important in our industry and we’re grateful to each and every person that has contributed to our journey in business. First, a mention to our passionate, dedicated team.
At the helm, and at the very heart of our company, is our Managing Director Simon Burton, who took over ownership of Home Media with his business partner in 2002. On his right hand is his son, Chris Burton, who joined Home Media straight from school back in 2018, following his love of music and sharing, every day, an infectious enthusiasm for hi-fi technology. Completing the day-to-day core team is John Sanderson, our resident CEDIA-certified installer with a lifelong passion for cinema and all things related to home automation, who joined the team in 2014.
We couldn’t fail to mention a number of colleagues from days past, without whom Home Media would not be what it is today.
First, we remember two much-loved colleagues, Martyn Pauley (pictured, left) who passed on 19th May 2017 and Ben Pettit (pictured, right) who passed on 28th November 2016. Friends as well as workmates, their passion, dedication and personalities left a lasting impact not only on the business, but with everyone who had the pleasure of knowing them.
We also extend a friendly shoutout to a few other former members of our team, Messrs Andy Ingham, Justin West and Richard Coleman, who many of our customers will remember. Home Media would not be the place it is today without the people who contributed to building it along the way – our former colleagues will always remain and important part of the story.
And… our customers, of course. Amidst all the countless hi-fi and home cinema systems/components that we have supplied and installed, so many of the most rewarding memories feature the people behind the purchases. There is a tremendous personal reward to be gained from the numerous longstanding friendships we have formed over the years… and the ‘Home Media Jollies’ WhatsApp group has certainly created a community spirit! Thank you, one and all, to our Home Media customers both old and new.
