Going the Extra Mile for our Customers
October 1, 2024It should be so simple. Pop the product you want to buy into your internet browser and the information comes tumbling in.
But there is so much knowledge offered by the internet (it could be argued there is almost too much information!) and with so much, sometimes conflicting, advice it almost becomes overwhelming and impossible to make any decision at all.
Shopping for audio visual or hi-fi equipment definitely falls into this bracket. There are thousands of products on offer, all different in style and design, with the makers of each heralding their products as the best. Every day, a new state-of-the-art piece of equipment comes on the market with the resultant clamour to buy it.
There is certainly no lack of choice… so, if you want to buy the best turntable, where do you start?
There is no doubt the best turntables – and more specifically, the one most suited to your particular needs, habits and listening space – can help to transform your enjoyment of your treasured vinyl collection. It will produce a unique sound which is smoother, more authentic and simply more pleasant to listen to than some less suitable alternatives.
But how do you work out which options are best for you – and which one you should spend your hard-earned cash on?
First ask yourself some questions… Do you want a turntable with a built-in phono stage or go for one which needs a separate phono stage? Built-in phono stages have the edge when it comes to compactness while separate, external phono stages can, and do, offer better sound quality, helping to get the most out of your vinyl system.
Respected consumer groups often explore and test a range of similar products and use their expertise to rank them, and as they are independent, their advice can be really useful… but you still may not be able to get into the nitty gritty of whether their top rated products will be right for you.
Everyone has different criteria in searching for the best turntable and one size does not fit all. This is where the experts come in…
At Home Media, we’re music lovers through and through and are dedicated to matching our customers with the right products. With decades of experience in the hi-fi sector, we make sure to know all there is to know about the equipment: the advantages and the pitfalls, which kit – and combinations of kit – can produce the best sound quality and which options would be the best value for money for you and your wants and needs.
We have turntables ranging in price from a few hundred pounds to several thousands – but more expensive doesn’t always mean the better choice. We keep our fingers on the pulse, so we know how the newest equipment has evolved… and whether we think it is a wise investment.
So, contact us – tell us what you want and how much you want to spend and let us advise you. We can be your very own personal shopper and ensure you buy equipment which is right for you. Contact us by calling on 01622 676703 or emailing sales@homemedialimited.co.uk
