The steel grille’s intricate patterns were chosen to support the fine tuning Meze sought. Paired with a magnesium chassis, the Meze Audio POET is visually striking and durable. A soft suede leather headrest and flexible titanium alloy headband provide strong ergonomics, spreading weight evenly for a snug fit that wraps you in comfort during every session.

To keep serviceability and pad swapping simple, the magnetic ear pad system from the 2nd Generation LIRIC is included here. A premium open-back headphone needs the right cable, so a hand-braided copper cable with a 6.3 mm termination is supplied to ensure broad compatibility with desktop setups.Meze Audio POET uses the RINARO MZ6 Isodynamic® Hybrid Array driver—a blend of the MZ4 and MZ3SE units found in the award-winning LIRIC and ELITE headphones. This design seeks a compact, high-performance result comparable to the ELITE series. Each MZ6 driver is carefully hand-assembled and tested at RINARO’s industrial site in Ukraine, supporting consistent quality and precision.

Casing: Reinforced polymer housing built to endure the 10.7 N load from the Hybrid Magnet Array.

Parus Diaphragm: A biaxially oriented, semi-crystalline polymer film weighing just 0.06 g with a broad active area of 3507 mm².

Hybrid Magnet Array: Neodymium magnets placed symmetrically on both sides form a Hybrid Array that generates a 0.3 Tesla Isodynamic field for even activation across the diaphragm.

Developed by RINARO solely for Meze Audio, the MZ6 driver marks over 8 years of sustained research and development. It ranks among the most advanced and lightweight full-size planar magnetic drivers available. Total harmonic distortion (THD) stays below 0.05% across the full frequency range. At 73 g (2.5 oz.) total weight, the driver supports comfortable extended listening in a compact shape. The upper frequency limit reaches 96 kHz. One of the most sophisticated planar magnetic technologies has been reduced for a smaller form factor.The Isodynamic® Hybrid Array improves sound intensity distribution, especially above 10 kHz, which strengthens spatial imaging and accuracy in the sound field. Located in the upper driver area, the switchback coil is tuned for strong bass through efficient low-frequency reproduction. The spiral coil sits over the ear canal to handle mid-to-high frequencies, allowing direct sound transmission that reduces delays and increases clarity.

Meze uses the Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System with a carefully made metal part covering chosen openings in the frame, reducing high-frequency peaks for a less tiring listen.

Driven by environmental responsibility and a wish to extend your enjoyment, Meze built the Meze Audio POET to be fully serviceable: every part of the chassis, including replaceable ear pads and high-performance materials, can be taken apart and maintained.
