The Kaleidescape Strato V movie player is the next generation movie player for the serious music and movie fan. Providing 4K Dolby Vision playback with lossless audio decode, the Kaleidescape Strato V works on its own or as a part of a larger Kaleidescape system. The addition of a Kaleidescape Terra Prime movie server will provide whole-house entertainment, should you require access in other rooms and increased storage capacity. You can expect reference quality video content for every 4K display providing SDR, HDR10, and now Dolby Vision. The performance of the Kaleidescape Strato V movie player is designed to surpass the picture and sound quality currently achievable from Blu-ray discs, and most instances with uncompressed sound and picture.

The Strato V contains a 960Gb Solid State Drive (SSD), providing up to around 24 hours worth of movie content. Downloads become a candidate for automatic deletion 48 hours after playback, making room for more movies. When standalone, Strato V stores approximately 10 reference 4K movies on an internal, solid-state drive. Featuring a new streamlined interface, Strato V is optimised for navigating a small movie library. Movies are only available to watch the Strato V once downloaded from the Kaleidescape digital store; a range of qualities are available from SD to 4k UHD with Atmos and Dolby Vision where available.

The Strato V is designed first and foremost with the architecture to provide ease of use and the highest possible audio and video performance (bitrates up to 100 Mbps). Whilst budget priced alternatives exist such as the Apple TV and Amazon Firestick, Kaleidescape movie files are typically ten times larger than the same movies available from online streaming services, thereby retaining near lossless video and fully lossless audio fidelity from studio masters. So, if you are a serious music lover with a high quality 2-channel music system, or a movie buff with an uncompromising want for sound and picture quality, the Kaleidescape Strato V should be high on your agenda.
