Foghat’s fortunes took a major turn for the better with the release of Fool For The City in 1975. The album became the band’s first platinum-selling success and introduced Foghat to Top 40 radio through the enduring rock classic “Slow Ride.” More than four decades later, Fool For The City remains widely regarded as the group’s defining achievement. Its ambitious songwriting, memorable hooks, and hard-driving performances perfectly capture the spirit of a road-hardened band operating at the peak of its powers during the golden age of 1970s hard rock.
