We are writing to inform you that our dear friend and work colleague Martyn Pauley passed away peacefully during the afternoon of Friday 19th May, aged 55.
We are extremely saddened by the loss of our energetic work colleague and loving friend and are sure that many of our customers, whom knew Martyn will share our upset.
Martyn was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer on 26th April 2012 and was told he may live for a further 2 – 5 years. After the initial shockwave of the devastating news, he adopted a very positive ‘life as usual’ approach and was determined to fight for his long-term survival. Martyn undertook a great deal of research in pursuit of a cure for his illness.
Martyn continued to work at Home Media until two years ago and maintained close contact with his work colleagues. He managed to visit our much missed colleague Ben on a number of occasions at home and in hospital and attended his funeral last November, a sign of Martyn’s incredible strength and determination to support for others during his own time of need.
We very much welcome your thoughts and memories of Martyn and will share your comments with his family.
