The REL S/550 subwoofer carries the DNA of the REL S/850 in a more compact form. Its re-engineered driver and passive radiator travel further, react faster, and deliver bass that feels louder, richer, and more effortless than ever before. Its new, wider lower cabinet enhances scale and presence, making it feel larger than its size suggests.

Each S/550 is delivered with a matched cloth grille (black or white), with the option to upgrade to the new premium wood grille for a refined visual finish. Small in footprint, but bold in performance, the S/550 is compact authority redefined.

As with all Serie S models, the REL S/550 subwoofer is Airship DirectTM ready, offering wireless freedom without sacrificing speed or detail.

The added internal volume gives drivers greater freedom and amplifiers improved efficiency, while updated internal bracing keeps cabinet resonances firmly under control. Subtler touches also make a difference, badges that disappear into the grille cloth, silver accents that rest quietly within the cabinet plane, and model numbers etched discreetly into the front rails, visible only when stacked in a Line Array.

An optional Premium Wood Grille adds warmth and individuality, while front-rail levelling adjusters ensure effortless setup, even on uneven floors. Together, these refinements reflect REL’s philosophy that great design is as much about thoughtful usability as it is about beauty and performance.
