Rega RB880 Tonearm

The Rega RB880 tonearm is the culmination of almost 40 years of tonearm design experience, using the latest 3D CAD & CAM technology to develop the product. This RB880 is supplied as a standard fit to the Rega Planar 8 turntable, and features an aluminium vertical bearing housing, redesigned sleeve and vertical bearing shaft to improve mounting stability and rigidity. The advanced tonearm tube for the RB880 has been designed using intelligent redistribution of mass, ensuring the RB880 tonearm will exhibit fewer points of possible resonance.

The extreme levels of stability achieved, coupled with almost friction free movement from the high precision hand matched bearing assemblies, guarantee to gather more information from your vinyl than ever before. You will also find a Rega made new low capacitance phono cables terminated with high specification phono plugs.

The Rega RB880 uses the latest arm tube developed by the Rega team, which has been completely redesigned to redistribute mass and further reduce stresses and resonances. This redesigned tube increases stiffness and rigidity of the overall assembly using CAD design to blend the multiple varying tapers.

Rega have fitted a bespoke designed low capacitance phono cable, which uses an advanced phono plug assembly. The plug design is made up of two parts to minimise joints and incorporates a twist and clamp locking plug, to improve surface contact with the terminal to ensure the signal path is kept as clean as possible.
