Central to its design is QUAD’s patented Current Dumping technology, developed by founder Peter Walker. In this topology, a high-quality low-power Class AB amplifier handles signal detail, while a high-power current dumping stage provides the control and output required to drive loudspeakers effectively. This approach eliminates issues such as crossover distortion and thermal instability, ensuring consistent, reliable performance without the need for complex adjustment.
