The Michell Apollo phono stage utilises state-of-the-art technology to deliver exceptional audio performance. The inbuilt power supply circuitry works in harmony with the Michell MUSE power supply to further refine and regulate the DC power. This creates an extremely clean and stable supply for the amplification stages. The Apollo phono stage and Muse power supply are supplied as a package.

Borrowing technology typically used in professional microphone amplifiers, the class A preamplifiers ensure precise signal handling.

Signal rectification is achieved via a finely tuned passive RIAA circuit within the Michell Apollo phono stage, preserving absolute fidelity. Subsequent amplification stages utilise class A circuits for clean, accurate, natural sound reproduction.

Michell measure and match each capacitor by hand to ensure it fits within stringent tolerances, guaranteeing precise channel balance.

Each stage is monitored and controlled using feedback circuits for consistent performance.

The Michell Muse power supply uses a high-quality low noise toroidal transformer, advanced capacitance multiplier technology and very high-quality voltage regulators, to reduce ripple and noise, delivering two highly filtered and regulated DC outputs. The Muse power supply works in harmony with the Michell Apollo’s internal power supply for superior filtering and regulation. By housing the transformer separately within the Muse, any noise generation is isolated from the amplification circuits. This Results in a clean, stable power source that enhances the performance and precision of the amplification stages.

The external DC cable connecting the Michell Apollo phono stage and Muse power supply is a custom-designed, high-quality audio cable, made in the UK. The cable consists of high quality Silver-Plated oxygen free copper conductors (OFC), ensuring an optimal signal path and durability.

Mass & rigidity: The enclosures are heavy for their size and very rigid, this helps isolate the sensitive circuits inside from vibration, therefore enhancing performance.
