Nestled within the Choral range, the Chord Electronics Symphonic phono stage stands as Chord’s flagship MC phono stage engineered for listeners who refuse to compromise. Building on the foundations of the entry level Dual, the Symphonic brings a host of advanced features and our latest high frequency power supply technology, unlocking vinyl’s full expressive potential. It’s designed to sit proudly alongside the rest of the Choral family, including the Chord DAVE DAC/preamp, delivering the kind of performance that makes you want to rediscover your entire record collection.
The Chord Electronics Symphonic phono stage offers an extraordinary level of flexibility, with a near limitless combination of input impedance and gain settings, plus both balanced and unbalanced cartridge input options. Whether you’re pairing it with a cherished classic turntable or a cutting edge reference deck, it integrates seamlessly into Chord systems. All settings are externally selectable, with internal illumination LEDs giving you clear, elegant feedback because great engineering should also feel great to use.
A dedicated rumble filter eliminates unwanted low frequency noise across both channels. With the filter set to off, the Chord Electronics Symphonic phono stage follows the RIAA curve precisely, without the IEC roll off—perfect for partnering with Chord preamps such as the CPA 2500, CPA 3000, CPA 5000, and CPA 8000. Switch the rumble filter on and the IEC curve is applied when needed. Depending on your tone arm wiring, the Symphonic can run in either unbalanced or fully balanced mode, giving you the freedom to tailor your setup exactly as you like it.
This is vinyl replay done the Home Media way: meticulous engineering, musical honesty, and a touch of understated luxury.
