The goal with the design of the Avalon Acoustics PM 3.2 floorstanding loudspeaker was to create the most dynamically impressive high energy transducer of nominal size, a smaller version of our award-winning SAGA.

By directly transferring the crossover topology and high-current elements of SAGA into PM 3.2, we have achieved a standard of low-frequency reproduction never before attained in a loudspeaker of this size. The impedance is absolutely flat below 200Hz, creating a non-reactive load with no back EMF seen by the driving amplifier.

The result is a fast, clear and powerful low-frequency presentation without group-delay error. The resultant phasing accuracy produces consistent staging stability throughout the frequency spectrum, with focused and vivid imagery, regardless of volume. Accurate and efficient utilisation of amplifier energy presents powerful impactive sound pressure without smearing or energy storage. Midrange clarity is open and focused, with high frequencies fully integrated into the overall sonic structure. Three-dimensional staging is both wide and tall, with our characteristic Avalon-transparency and black background.
